Cruise Itinerary

Day One - Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA

Brimming with passionate energy, Buenos Aires is a romantic and vibrant city that seamlessly combines colonial charm with the lively spirit of Latin America. Renowned for its steamy tango performances and expertly grilled steak, a trip to this Argentine capital is a sensory celebration.

Parque Tres de Febrero, a sprawling 400-hectare oasis, features 18,000 blooming rose bushes, where towering skyscrapers give way to tranquil lakes and picturesque paths frequented by rollerbladers. Majestic palm trees, resembling bursts of fireworks, rise proudly in Plaza de Mayo, the bustling heart of this vast city consisting of 48 neighbourhoods. This square has been the backdrop for pivotal moments in the nation’s history and remains a gathering place for solidarity, rebellion, and revolution.

The iconic Casa Rosada, with its salmon-coloured façade, borders the plaza, while the nearby Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes showcases the largest public art collection in Latin America. Teatro Colón, the opulent opera house built in 1908, is celebrated as one of the world's finest venues; performances here resonate with an ethereal quality, as the extraordinary acoustics capture every nuance of sound, delivering spine-tingling clarity to the audience.

The impressive terraces of the Bombonera Stadium contribute to the city's vibrant atmosphere, creating a thunderous roar when Boca Juniors take the field. In the city’s parrillas—steakhouses—juicy steak and robust Malbec flow freely, while stylish bars and energetic nightclubs keep the party going deep into the night. The sizzling doesn't stop at the grill; passionate tango dancers fill milongas—dance halls—strutting their stuff until dawn.

Enjoy 'steaming mate', the national drink, browse through covered markets, and wander through Cementerio de la Recoleta, a city of elaborate graves and intricate memorials dedicated to presidents, politicians, and notable Argentine heroes from history.

Poetic, cosmopolitan, and brimming with historical charm, Uruguay's elegant capital is a hub of culture, creativity, and coastal delight. Nearly half of Uruguay’s population resides in Montevideo, a city currently experiencing a revival as its status as a must-visit South American destination grows. Stunning colonial architecture has been transformed to showcase cultural treasures, while sleek skyscrapers, modernist museums, and striking artworks continuously emerge in this lively and dynamic city, located across the Río de la Plata from Buenos Aires. Designated as a UNESCO Creative City, Montevideo boasts a rich intellectual legacy and is home to the passionate tango—a dance that Uruguayans proudly claim as their own. With its bright, tree-lined avenues and refreshing sea breezes gracing its endless shores, Montevideo is truly a livable coastal city. One of Punta del Este's popular beaches, Playa Mansa, boasts tranquil waters and a sun-drenched setting, all beneath the watchful gaze of a towering lighthouse, circled by graceful sea birds. Day Seven - Balneario Camboriu, BRAZIL

Balneário Camboriú has earned the nickname "the Dubai of Brazil" due to its striking futuristic skyline, stunning stretches of sandy beaches, vibrant nightlife, and an influx of tourists that boosts the city's population to over one million during the summer. Nestled in the southern region of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, the area features a stunning backdrop of lush green hills that gracefully descend towards the deep blue waters of the South Atlantic Ocean as you approach. Gleaming skyscrapers rise majestically along the golden coastline, where holidaymakers enjoy the sun and surf. For a great people-watching experience and to bask in the sunshine, head to Central Beach, where a scenic boardwalk runs parallel to the shore, perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll. You can also walk to Molhe-Barra Sul, a charming pier that extends into the sea and provides breathtaking views of the city. Another spot with spectacular panoramas is Morro de Careca, a hill that boasts a sweeping view of three local beaches. Perched atop Morro da Cruz hill is a 33-meter (108-foot) statue of Christ, known as Cristo Luz, which gazes over the city. This statue depicts Jesus with a round spotlight on his shoulder, symbolising the sun, and illuminates the city at night. An exhilarating cable car ride at the Unipraias Tourist Complex connects Laranjeiras Beach on Isla Camboriú with Central Beach, offering a mesmerising 360-degree view of the city from above.

Day Eight - Ilhabela, BRAZIL

Known as "Ilhabela," which means beautiful island in Portuguese, this gem truly lives up to its name. Regarded as a natural paradise by both locals and tourists, the island boasts a vibrant array of stunning beaches, lush tropical rainforests, and an astonishing 360 waterfalls. Situated four hours by car and a brief 15-minute ferry ride from São Paulo, an impressive 85% of the island is designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. While many visitors are drawn to Ilhabela for its renowned beaches—one of which was ranked among the top ten beaches worldwide by The Guardian—there's so much more to experience than just basking in the sun or seeking shade. With nearly 25 miles (40 kilometres) of unspoiled coastline, beach lovers will find plenty of options, but Ilhabela also offers a lively town rich in history and culture, ready to be explored.

Nestled on the island's west coast, Ilhabela town retains traces of its colonial heritage, evident in its charming architecture. One of the most picturesque landmarks is the Nossa Senhora D’Ajuda chapel, built in 1806. This quaint white-washed church is perched on a hill as if watching over the town. Often adorned with colourful bunting, it comes alive on holy days with locals gathering to express their faith. Inside, the church reveals hints of its faded grandeur, mirroring the essence of the town itself. Just a few miles before reaching the town and the ferry terminal lies the Princess’ House, an impressive 18th-century mansion that belonged to Fazenda Engenho d’Agua, one of Ilhabela's significant former sugar plantations.
